Carve Out Your Role

Our pursuit of purpose must be proactive. It doesn't just happen. We need to put ourselves in the best positions for good things to happen. Every teacher wants to make an impact on the lives of their students. But what is that impact? What makes our impact different than someone else's? Today we take a look at the comedy Sister Act. This movie is funny and uplifting and shows us the idea that everyone is essential. It is our responsibility to find to way to make our unique impact on our community. This is The Elephant in the Classroom.

  1. The pursuit of purpose must be proactive.

  2. We must find our place. A place where we can make an impact.

  3. No one will do it for us.

  4. We often feel the need to conform and to give up our purpose for the betterment of the group.

  5. Instead, we need to give the best of ourselves to our community. That makes our community stronger.

  6. Adversity makes us want to sacrifice our own purpose. We sacrifice ourselves first.

  7. We need to lean in to our purpose when tough times come our way. Times are always tough so when will you pick your purpose up again?
